Tony Stewart Murdered

One of the biggest rules in Nascar is to never get out of your car. Well, unless its on fire. Kevin Ward Jr. made a big mistake by doing so. For those who don’t know what happened, on August 9th, Kevin Ward Jr. was hit by Tony Stewart’s car at a dirt-track race. Some people say that it was a tragedy, other people say that accidents happen.

“I think its a terrible tragedy…” Katri Uno, the ceramics teacher commented.

Tony Stewart was not charged with murder and most people think that was a good decision.

“No, I don’t think it was willfully done…I don’t want to place fault on anyone,” Uno said. Most people do think that the accident will affect Tony’s career because maybe people don’t think that it was a accident. It goes both sides, if Kevin Ward would have never gotten out of his car he would be fine, Al Angulo, the auto shop teacher at Placer High School, calls it “red mist” when a driver is so in the moment and angry. Angulo is also a professional driver.

“I think it was an accident, and it wasn’t like a big thing and there’s like sayings and different things from him saying how he gives huge condolences to his family and different things about how he’s always going to have that on his mind,” Jasmine French added about how she felt.

“This is like their ultimate nightmare i would bet,” Katri Uno adds.

Even Tony Stewart had something to say about the accident, “There aren’t words to describe the sadness  I feel about the accident that took the life of Kevin Ward Jr. Its a very emotional time for all involved. … My thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends and everyone affected by this tragedy.”

Kevin Ward Jr. and Tony Stewart did not have any tension before that race on August 9th. May Kevin Ward Jr. rest in peace.
