Facebook Holidays

People from all over the world are using Facebook. Lately, people on facebook have been participating in special Facebook holidays as they become more popular by the attendance of countless mutual friends. Some of these holidays include, National Be a Creeper Day, National Make Someone Feel Uncomfortable Day, National Hug Day, etc.

There are also Facebook holidays that people feel are not necessary and simply stupid.

“Some Facebook holidays are lame, like ‘National Give a Mormon a Hug day’ or ‘Kiss a Ginger Day’. I just think it’s ridiculous,” Junior, Molly Barrett expresses.
Wednesday December 1st was a big holiday on Facebook called ‘National Creeper Day’. Many students from all over the area participated in this Facebook holiday. A lot of people liked this holiday the best because they thought it was the best way to let out their natural creeping abilities and go all out on this day.

“I only participate in National Creeper Day because I am a hardcore creep. Whenever I see other holidays that are on Facebook, I just think they are stupid, but this one captures my heart” Whitney High School junior Kaylin Squyres commented.

Barrett also agrees with Squyres opinion on National Creeper Day being the best holiday on Facebook.

“I participate in National Creeper Day because it is in my blood,” Barrett commented.

During National Creeper Day many people displayed different techniques of creeping to celebrate this popular holiday.

“I stalked Mrs. Metrock in the library while peering at her through the windows, and I took a picture of Grundy’s fourth period class through the small window on his door,” Barrett added.

“Me and my friend took pictures behind random people. We also tried to get in a picture of a club that we aren’t in, but we got kicked out of and of course the daily Facebook creep routine”, Squyres stated.

Another holiday that some participated in last year was “A Day Without Shoes.” Many on Facebook agreed to participate by simply “attending” the event. That day, many students all over Placer High School followed the holiday rules and didn’t wear shoes. “A Day Without Shoes” is an awareness day that people all over the globe participate in to show respect for children without shoes.

“I went a day without shoes and my feet got wet,” Junior Codey Hancock stated.

While many find these holidays phonie and a waste of time, a countless number of other people participate, celebrate, and enjoy these events, making them days to remember
