Although student rallies are free some freshman were tricked into buying tickets from seniors at Placers first rally.
The action of selling tickets is not illegal but it is against the school educational code. However, because each violation of the ed code is different and Steve Caminiti the Assistant Principal at Placer high school believes that this has never happened before there is not a set punishment.
When asked about the sales of rally tickets Caminiti said,”It was brought to our attention that upperclassmen were were charging the freshman to come to rallies. No one has come forward to confirm that they were charged and no one has come forward saying that they sold them so for all we know this could be a rumor.”
“If you want freshman to be good future hillmen you should treat them as such. Just like in a workplace you would train the future workers you need to train them to be good future hillmen.”Said Scott Barry a teacher at Placer High school.
Several different students who have heard about this have very strong opinions including Julia Lindbloom a freshman at Placer who said“ They are like geniuses but in a evil way.” Other students agree with this opinion but some don’t.’
One student at placer Clemons Angleton said, If you’re dumb enough to believe it you deserve it.” However Angleton admits that he almost bought tickets after his Friend’s dad asked him if he had bought his rally tickets yet.
